Hurray! We’re delighted to announce the launch of Lace 1.0, the initial mainnet release of the very first light wallet platform from Input Output Global (IOG).
As an IOG product, Lace has the same academic rigor and robust engineering at its core that the company is known for. And with community participation and beta testing baked into its development, the same values of open collaboration are as present within Lace as other IOG projects. Now, after months of testing, refining, and listening to feedback from our community, our Web3 platform is ready to go – and we couldn’t be more excited!
A massive thank you to everyone who got involved and helped shape the Lace development. If you haven’t already, add Lace to your Google Chrome browser now and start your Web3 journey.
The lowdown on Lace
Lace has one simple mission: to bring the world together on Web3. Fast, secure, and easy to use – and independently audited by a third party – Lace is designed for the whole world to discover and enjoy a new world of digital experiences, effortlessly. Let’s take a look.
What does Lace 1.0 do?
With Lace 1.0, you can send and receive Cardano digital assets, like ada, Cardano NFTs, and Cardano native tokens. You can stake your ada to contribute to the security of the Cardano network and receive rewards for your participation, and you can even send multiple assets to different addresses in one transaction – with one transaction fee – thanks to the new bundle transaction feature. Plus, enjoy added security with hardware wallet integration, and seamlessly connect to NFT marketplaces, DApps, and DeFi services with the DApp connector.
How do you get Lace 1.0?

What’s next for Lace?
Lace 1.0 is just the first release, so expect a slew of regular updates and enhancements in the future as the platform evolves. The Lace team is already hard at work at developing a DApp Store, a desktop app and digital identity solutions. Meanwhile, fiat on/off ramps, in-wallet swaps, a richer staking experience with multi-delegation, and a portfolio view are all in the pipeline. And there’s much more to come!
There’s only one Lace
The Lace light wallet platform is published exclusively by Input Output Global and the browser extension is only available on the Chrome web store. The only official Lace website is www.lace.io. Beware of scams – report any suspicious apps or websites to the Cardano Fraud Detection Bureau.
